Hot tea, coffee and snacks are waiting for you when you arrive and are
always available to guests. Proprietors, Margaret and her mother Catherine
Molloy will welcome you and, if you're lucky, tell you some of the old
tales and legends of the area.
Kilcar is named after St. Cartha's church, its patron saint. The old
ruins of the original church are themselves only a short walk from
Riverside House. St. Cartha's Well, one of many local Holy Wells is also
nearby.

Kilcar river, itself the combined waters of two mountain streams
runs by and flows out to Towney Bay as seen from the house as it meets
Teelin and then Donegal Bay.
Margaret and Catherine will help you with information about all
kinds of exciting activities. From deep sea angling in search of sharks to
giant Bluefin tuna, from breathtaking hiking to shopping for local
handwoven tweed and crafts, not forgetting learning about the history and
unforgettable charm and hospitality of the Donegal people, the two "women
of the house" will gladly help make your stay as memorable and enjoyable
as possible.
Come
